The publisher
Our beginning
At the heart of our publishing house, each book is a gesture of love, an open door to the soul of the world.
It was born in April 2020, in the midst of a global lockdown. As fear, uncertainty, and loneliness marked the days, we chose to light a light. At a time when everything seemed to be shutting down, we set out to blaze a trail. Because when everything was pushing us toward sadness and isolation, we felt more strongly than ever the need to share beauty, knowledge, and truth.
Thus, this publishing house was born as an act of profound inner freedom. As a firm—and loving—affirmation that the human soul cannot be imprisoned. That the spirit needs to express itself, and that anthroposophy, as a path of understanding and transformation, is a living response to difficult times.
Our purpose
Our purpose is clear: to share the legacy of the philosopher and physician Rudolf Steiner, one of the most profound spiritual thinkers of the last century. His work, Anthroposophy, is a path of knowledge that embraces the human being as a whole and unfolds in multiple fields: education, medicine, agriculture, art, architecture, science, and the inner life.
From this perspective, we have worked diligently on the translation, editing, and publication not only of his books and more than six thousand lectures, but also of works by contemporary and classical authors linked to anthroposophical thought. Each work is carefully translated, revised, edited, and laid out to ensure a clear, lively, and accessible reading experience.
Our publications
Some of our books are published in bilingual format, with Spanish and German texts in a single volume, and we also have German editions of works originally written in Spanish.
But we don't just care about the content. We also honor the form.
The covers are handcrafted, one by one. Printing is done on high-quality printers, guillotining is done manually, and assembly is completed with American rings, in a completely handmade process.
Children's books, on the other hand, are printed and then hand-assembled in a leporelo format. They are attachment books, designed to accompany young children and also to fit into the therapist's medicine cabinet, with small and large versions, depending on the use and occasion.
Thus, every book that reaches your hands carries with it not only knowledge, but also the human warmth of those who made it possible.
April Anthroposophical Publishing. Books born from the soul, to accompany the soul's awakening.
